Types of Archery In is basic form there are two types of Archery undertaken at Chippenham Archers, these are Target and Field.
Target This is where an arrow is shot at a target face which is placed at a specific distance on a laid-out field. Depending on where the arrow lands on the face a score is achieved for that arrow.
Field The National Field Archery Society exists to foster and promote Field Archery as a sport. Our courses are unmarked (i.e. unknown distances), situated in woodland, and our targets are paper animal faces.
